

A little about our doctors...
Originally from Macon, Georgia, Dr. Clark did his undergraduate at the University of Georgia. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in the class of 1990. His Pediatric Residency training was completed in 1993 at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina where he then joined the teaching faculty from 1993-1995.
In 1995, he moved back to Macon, Georgia to join the teaching faculty of the Pediatric Residency Program at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and the Mercer University School of Medicine where he is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics. He also serves as the Director of Pediatric Undergraduate Medical Education.
Dr. Clark served as the Medical Director of the Newborn Nursery for ten years at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and is a past president of the Georgia Perinatal Association. He currently is the Medical Director of the Children’s Health Center.
Dr. Clark is currently serving on the board for the GA Chapter of the AAP, and serves on two local community boards. He joined the Primary Pediatrics After Hours’ team of providers two years ago. When not at work, Dr. Clark will either be playing the saxophone or restoring an antique Farmall Tractor.
Edward K. Clark
Dr. Harold A. Sims received his bachelor degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and attended L.S.U Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his internship in pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. After completing his internship, he served as a pediatrician in the U.S. Air Force until he was honorably discharged with the rank of Major. Following his military service, Dr. Sims returned to Vanderbilt University Hospital to complete his residency in pediatrics.
Before joining Primary Pediatrics, Dr. Sims maintained a solo pediatric practice in Bristol, Tennessee and also worked for Bristol Regional Medical Center in their acute care clinic. He has been with Pediatrics After Hours since 1997. Dr. Sims is married to Lisa Sims. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling to compete in trap shooting competitions, and spending time with his wife and their rottweilers.
Harold A. Sims
Dr. Ratmeyer joined Primary Pediatrics in December 2006. She received her bachelor degree from Emory University in 1991 and graduated from the Mercer University School of Medicine in 1995. She completed the Pediatric Residency Program at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in June 1998. After six years in solo practice in south Georgia, she now resides in Stockbridge, Georgia with her husband Steve, son Max, and daughter Nora. She enjoys yoga, karate, and spending time with her family.
